We recently stayed at Hilton London Hyde Park, a characterful historic hotel that proved to be a perfect base for exploring West London as a family. We stayed in two queen guest rooms facing Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, giving us beautiful leafy views to wake up to each morning, paired with the convenience of having so much of the city within easy reach. Service was another highlight, with a team that was consistently warm, friendly and helpful throughout our visit.

Each morning began downstairs at Aubaine, the hotel’s elegant French restaurant. Breakfast was served in the bright dining room and became a luxurious start to our days before heading out to explore. We also returned for Aubaine’s set lunch menu, where highlights included the creamy Truffle Coquillettes, comforting Soupe à l’Oignon and classic Crème Brûlée.

For families, the location is particularly appealing. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are directly across the street, so we could be among the greenery within minutes of leaving the hotel. The Princess Diana Memorial Playground is also a short walk away, while tennis courts, the Serpentine and Kensington Palace provide plenty more reasons to spend time in the park.

Notting Hill and Portobello Road are easily accessible for independent boutiques, cafés, restaurants and market shopping. Queensway Underground station sits right beside the hotel, with the Central line making journeys into central London incredibly straightforward.

What we enjoyed most about Hilton London Hyde Park was how easily it slipped into our everyday London routine. We could have breakfast at Aubaine, spend the morning in the park, wander into Notting Hill and still be well connected when we wanted to venture further across the city. Combined with genuinely lovely service and our park-facing rooms, it was a comfortable and wonderfully convenient choice for our family stay in London.
