Set amongst tropical gardens beside JA Manafaru’s tranquil Jungle Pool, Andiamo is the resort’s relaxed Italian restaurant and an ideal spot for a leisurely poolside lunch. The setting is casual and inviting, with tables tucked into the greenery and the swimming pool just steps away, making it particularly appealing for families and long, unhurried afternoons on the island.

The menu centres around Italian favourites, including handcrafted pastas and wood-fired pizzas, alongside fresh salads, sandwiches and easygoing lunch dishes. Everything we tried was beautifully fresh and generously portioned, with plenty of options that worked well for sharing around the table.

We particularly loved the Verde Panini, filled with fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes and homemade pesto. Simple but incredibly satisfying, the quality of the ingredients really shone through and made it one of our favourite lunches during our stay. The seafood pizza was another highlight, arriving from the wood-fired oven with a wonderfully crisp base and a generous topping of seafood. The pizzas here are definitely worth ordering, especially alongside a few lighter dishes for the table.

Andiamo’s laid-back poolside atmosphere makes it the kind of restaurant you can easily return to throughout a stay, whether stopping by for a quick lunch between swims or settling in for a longer afternoon meal. For something sweet afterwards, the restaurant also serves homemade gelato and refreshing sorbets, the perfect finish to a sunny Maldivian lunch.
