The menu is fun and crowd-pleasing, ranging from sandwiches and sliders to wings, pasta and generous sharing plates. We started with the Tortilla Tower, a substantial plate of nachos piled high with spicy beef and all the accompanying toppings. It is an ideal dish for sharing around the table and one that disappeared particularly quickly with the kids.

The Beef cheek Stacker was another favourite, tender and flavourful while still keeping firmly within the casual poolside theme. Salt and pepper chicken wings were crisp, savoury and perfect for picking at alongside a cold drink.

For something more substantial, the turkey clubhouse sandwich delivered exactly the kind of classic comfort food you want beside the pool, while spaghetti Bolognese was a simple and satisfying option that made Joos Cafe especially easy when dining with children.

The atmosphere is a big part of the appeal. There is always plenty happening around the main pool, giving Joos Cafe an energetic feel while remaining relaxed enough to arrive straight from the beach or swimming.
