Breeze Poolside Dining quickly became our go-to lunch spot during our stay at Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives. Set beside the resort’s infinity pool with views across the Indian Ocean, it is exactly the kind of relaxed setting you want for a long, leisurely lunch in the Maldives.

We loved alternating between the alfresco tables and the idyllic cabanas, settling in with the sea stretching out in front of us and a cold drink in hand. The atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it an easy choice for anything from a quick bite between swims to a lingering afternoon lunch.

The menu is extensive, with plenty of international favourites alongside Asian and Mexican dishes. We particularly enjoyed the fresh quinoa salad and the shrimp and fish tacos, both ideal for a light lunch in the tropical heat. There is also a great selection of pizzas, alongside Mexican favourites including hearty burritos and cheesy quesadillas.

For something with an Asian influence, the Thai satay was another favourite, while the juicy burgers were perfect when we wanted something a little more indulgent. With such a varied menu, there was always something different to order, which was especially welcome as we found ourselves returning to Breeze for lunch every day of our stay.

Drinks are equally well suited to the setting, with refreshing fresh juices and a tempting cocktail list. Sitting in a shaded cabana, cocktail in hand and looking out across the turquoise ocean, Breeze captures everything we love about relaxed Maldivian island dining.
