After the success of Juhu Beach Club in San Francisco, the popular restaurant has opened in HK serving up Indian flavours with distinct Californian influences. The chef and owner Preeti Mistry started the venture as a pop-up restaurant and quickly reached popularity. She has received rave reviews from Food and Wine Magazine as well as catching the attention of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. We loved the lively Soho location serving up perfect sharing portions and delicious refreshing cocktails. Favourite items off the menu include the sweet and tangy “Sticky Wings” with a Vindaloo glaze, the crispy, sweet & sour “Manchurian Cauliflower”, the fresh and flavourful “Brussels Sprouts Nest” with Ginger Curry Leaf Butter and Fenugreek Chutney, the fragrant and spicy “Bombay Sandwich” with pressed cheese and chaat Masala, the juicy “Chowpatty Chicken” Pav using grilled green chili chicken and slaw, and the indulgent “Holy Cow Short Rib Curry” with smoky black cardamon braised short rib and lemon rice. Each dish incorporated unique combinations of flavour and textures creating an enjoyable and fun dining experience. Make sure to sample a few of their innovative cocktails, our favourite being the Monkey Margarita, and bring friends to enjoy this lively new hotspot.
