Known for brewing the perfect cup of coffee, Elephant grounds has now opened up shop in the midst of Wanchai and Admiralty. With their familiar coffee house vibes, their latest location showcases an array of comfort foods and dishes with a little more decadence. We tucked into some new items on their menu like the Summer Gazpacho, the perfect punch back to HK’s heat. This dish blew us away, with such simple flavors it made such a statement with fresh vegetables and a great mix of textures. No bowl was left unclean. Also new to the menu is a Miso Black Cod, their head chefs Japanese influence really shines through in this dish with torched miso mayo and nori potatoes.
You can’t go wrong with their Japanese friend chicken, everything you’d expect in a deep fried dish, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! To top it off we indulged in their take on an ice cream sandwich – The Salty Peanut Buddha, a mouth watering balance between salty and sweet, definitely one to share.
