Momotaro, hidden within a mysterious street entrance on Kau U Fong, serves up mouthwatering Japanese fusion, enticing cocktails, and a fun atmosphere to match. We loved the sleek and trendy interiors ideal for a fun gathering with friends. We were lucky enough to be one of the first in Hong Kong to sample Executive Chef Masaaki Aoayama refreshing creations. After fifteen years in a Michelin star venue in Los Angeles, Chef Aoayama is now here to bring his fresh ideas to Hong Kong and we couldn’t get enough of the innovative take on our favourite Japanese dishes. Favourites of the night included the addictive Japanese Edamame with Truffle and Sea Salt, indulgent Fresh Sweet Shrimp Tartar with Black Truffle and Caviar, the decadent Momo sashimi platter, the tender Wagyu Sushi, the creative Dragon Maki, and the melt in your mouth, tantalizing Miso Marinated Foie Gras with Seared Japanese Wagyu Beef in Sweet Soy. Make sure to sample their array of cocktails as well as the list of home infused sochus. The vibe of the restaurant shifts to a lively bar after peak dinner hours end, making it the ideal spot to start and end a fun night out. A definite Hungry Hong Kong favourite.
