Wooloomooloo Prime, one of Hong Kong’s most loved Steakhouse’s, has re-opened after a chic renovation, boasting stylish interiors and a revamped menu. Set at the top of The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui, the outdoor terrace is an ideal spot for enjoying stunning harbour views over happy hour drinks during sunset. We loved the floor to ceiling windows throughout the restaurant and recommend booking in advance to get a prime spot set against HK’s iconic skyline. We were extremely impressed with the high level of care put into selecting and sourcing each ingredient from the new menu. The sweet Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallops with Black Pudding and the delicate Salad of Smoked Trout with Beetroot Puree and Avruga Caviar are an ideal light start to the meal and we fell in love with the decadent, hand chopped Prime Steak Tartare with Pine Nut Emulsion, Avruga Caviar and Smoky Tomato Sauce, a definite must order. For main courses we highly recommend their flavourful Grilled Organic Pork Chop with Sour Cherry Sauce, and the irresistible Lamb Barnsley Chop with a double helping of premium organic tenderloin on the bone complete with fillet and a generous edge of juicy fat. Both cuts are sourced from Rhug Estate Organic Farm in North Wales who have been supplying Michelin Starred restaurants for 20 years and always ensure the best care for their animals. A trip to Wooloomooloo Prime is never complete without a serious slab of steak and we were blown away by Stockyard’s finest 350-Day Grain-Fed, 2-3 Weeks Wet-Aged, M9+ Wagyu Sirloin with exceptional marbling, extreme tender texture, and melt in your mouth buttery flavour. If you have room for dessert delve into the indulgent Wooloomooloo Hot Chocolate Cake as an ideal satisfying end. Make sure to check out their “Wine of the Month” and ask for recommendations from their extensive wine cellar to best compliment your meal. A perfect spot for a memorable night out in Hong Kong and if you are looking to treat someone to a truly enjoyable dinner. We know we’ll be back next time we are craving that perfect cut of meat.
