Employees Only was one of our favourite spots when we visited NYC, so we were very excited when they opened in HK and brought a taste of the New York Speakeasy vibe closer to home. The decor stays true to the EO brand with brooding dark light, a lively and well stocked bar, and intimate candlelit tables at the back for dinner. Their menu features elevated versions of comfort food with a few Asian twists and are great for sharing while paired with a few cocktails. Favourite dishes of the night included the addictive Spicy Fried Chicken Bites with Sichuan Chili & Crispy Garlic, indulgent EO Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Gouda, Cheddar, Emmental and Truffle Capers on Brioche, tender and flavourful and perfectly prepared Seared Wagyu Skirt Steak with Mixed Green Salad, creamy and fragrant Sausage Cavatelli with House-Made Pork Sausage, Tomato & Rocket, and the mouthwatering Crispy Skin Whole Chicken with Sichuan Cucumber and Garlic Soy, a definite must order here. Save room for dessert and delve into the unique and beautifully displayed Coconut Panna Cotta with White Chcolate Mousse & Japanese Yam Cake and make sure sample a few of their well executed. A perfect spot for a cozy date night or fun night out with a group of friends.
