Virgin Atlantic have re-branded their Premium Economy Class to Premium this year and it is one of the most luxurious and comfortable flight experiences in its price range. Targeted at budget conscious business travelers who seek comfort and space at competitive rates, Virgin have created the ultimate answer. The leather seats in Premium feature enhanced ergonomics and have a width of 21″ which is 3″ wider than the average premium economy seat. I was impressed with the dual position footrest and loved having my own power outlet and enough privacy to work and sleep. Virgin have ensured that Premium has the best service with dedicated check-in counters, priority baggage, complimentary newspapers, and welcome drinks when you board the flight. I enjoyed the meal service with quality food and the Wander Wall where passengers could help themselves to drinks and snacks throughout the flight. A great way to travel long haul in luxury at affordable prices without giving up on comfort or direct routes.
For Flying Club Gold Members and Upper Class Passengers, Virgin Atlantic boast one of the world’s most decadent club lounges at Heathrow Airport. Upon my return to Hong Kong from London, I was able to experience the Clubhouse’s luxurious space and all its impressive amenities. Cocktails were expertly made at their award winning bar and there was an impressive wine list to go alongside a mouthwatering a la carte menu with choices of snacks, appetizers, or a full dinner if you wanted. If you are traveling with friends check out the well equipped games room, or relax in the renowned Clubhouse Spa for complimentary treatments. If you are looking to rest up before take off catch a quiet moment at the serene Viewing Deck while waiting for your flight to board.
