Located at Pacific Place is the beautifully designed, chic European dining establishment, The Continental. The newly designed space is classic and stylish creating a welcoming environment for date nights, business lunches, or friendly gatherings. We loved the professional service, and intimate ambiance during their dinner service. Their kitchen is run by award winning British Chef, Rowley Leigh who has previously worked at several world renowned British restaurants. We loved the mouthwatering menu taking inspiration from French, Italian, and British classic dishes. Chef Leigh’s signature Griddled Scallops with Chestnut Puree, Shiso and Lemon were sweet and plump and cooked to perfection and we also loved his Chicken and Goats’ Cheese Mousse with Olives fusing familiar flavours into a unconventional texture and presentation. For pasta lovers, we couldn’t get enough of the Conchiglioni with Short Ribs and Gremolata which was decadent and packed full of flavour making our mouths water with each bite. We were lucky to be dining on a Tuesday so we could try their daily special, the Roast Challans Duck with Petit Pois a la Francais served in a generous juicy platter for two and living up to it’s stunning display and aroma. A classic Dover Sole is definitely a Hungry HK must eat and we loved The Continental’s version which was large, meaty, buttery, decadently full of roe and everything we would hope for in one of our favourite dishes. Make sure to save room and treat your sweet tooth to one of their indulgent desserts such as their tasty Chocolate Souffle with Pistachio Ice Cream which was the perfect end to our meal. We look forward to returning soon and sample more of Chef Leigh’s mouthwatering creations.
