Silencio, a contemporary Japanese Izakaya located in LKF Tower, is the perfect spot for mouthwatering innovative fare and a lively, vibrant ambiance. Inspired by Japan’s much loved drinking dens, Silencio features moody lighting, interactive bar seating, and enjoyable live jazz music, creating a unique dining and drinking destination in the HK food and nightlife scene. Heading the kitchen is Sean Mell, former Executive Chef at Nobu Hong Kong, and Korean chef Yong Soo Do who has worked in many kitchens in HK including Enoteca and Jinjuu Hong Kong. Their shared passion and experience can be seen throughout the menu in the inspired dishes and talented use of traditional techniques. Favourite dishes of the night included the refreshing Kumamoto Tomato with Parmesan Dashi and Shiso, the melt in your mouth Coffee Cured Hamachi with Watercress Puree and Pickled Shallots, the fragrant Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Truffle Ponzu Dashi, the indulgent Wagyu Katsu Sando with Kewpie Mayo and Katsu Sauce on Milk Bread, and the tender, perfectly prepared Charcoal Grilled Quail with a Dark Chocolate Soy Reduction, Soba Risotto and Cherries with Black Truffle. Make sure to sample the sake flight for a taster of their varied selection. A very welcome addition to the Central and LKF area and ideal for date nights or evenings out with friends. Grab a seat at the bar and ask the Chefs for recommendations to ensure the best experience. A new Hungry Hong Kong favourite.
