We have always loved holidays in the South of France. There’s something special about the alfresco restaurants that line the seafront that keep us going back for more, so we were very excited to see Cococabana open it’s doors at Shek O Beach to give us a taste of French beach life. We loved the inviting and ambiant terrace, acting as a perfect spot for sunset cocktails and wine. The menu is classic with a great selection of the French cuisine incorporating fresh produce. To start we had light and delicious scallops marinated in lime and ginger, and sweet baked goat cheese on a crispy puff pastry with sauteed onions with a lovely wild thyme honey dressing. We loved the whole grilled fresh seabream which was flamed at our table with pastis, and the tender British pork chop ‘Dingley Dell’ farm which went perfectly with a great lemon sage sauce. Don’t forget to pair the meal with their crisp and refreshing rose wine. An ideal spot to enjoy sunny weekend afternoons, or romantic sunset dinners. We look forward to returning for many more relaxed summer days in the near future.
