Kennedy Town is fast becoming one of our favourite restaurant neighborhoods and Comptoir is a welcome new addition to the area. Serving up traditional French cuisine in tapas size dishes and a vast wine list perfect for those who are looking to dine in a casual French bistro atmosphere. We loved the straightforward menu utilizing fresh ingredients, prepared in an exciting open kitchen where you can watch the chefs hard at work. Favourites off the menu include the flavourful Tuna Stuffed Piquillos, the refreshing Tuna Tartare with soy sauce and coriander dressing, the perfectly cooked Sauteed Prawns with Pastis, garlic and parsley, the fragrant Clams Mariniere, and the rich and hearty Red Wine Chorizo and Mashed Potatoes. We recommend sitting up at the bar where you can enjoy watching the dishes being prepared and gain inspiration on what to order. Make sure to pair your meal with wine from their impressive selection and ask for recommendations if you want a perfect pairing.
