San Francisco introduced us to oyster happy hours, which we found impossible to miss.  Who doesn’t love $1 oysters and cheap drinks? We visited several throughout the city, which offered an abundance of fresh seafood, and delicious beer and wine selections and wanted to share one of our favourites.  Hog Island Oyster Company Co. encompasses a tasty and fresh menu, great ambiance set within the farmer’s market overlooking the city’s beautiful waterfront, and friendly attentive service.  There is a slight wait, but they offer a happy hour drinks list in the queue so you won’t be parched or bored.  Make sure to partake in the 50% off oysters and the delicious steamer clams.  Everything is fresh and perfectly prepared, so we imagine everything on the menu will be worth a try.  A definite stop the next time we find ourselves in SF.
