Arguably the best dining experience for beef lovers, WAGYUMAFIA offers diners a one of a kind interactive and mouthwatering tasting menu we won’t soon forget. A long time celebrity favourite, the coveted restaurant serves a decadent tasting menu of the best Wagyu in town. We entered through a small door and started our dinner right beside the meat locker with a small taste of air dried Wagyu and a shot of sake, before heading into the main dining area.
The team enthusiastically greet each patron and we all sat around a bar facing the lively chefs. Each course incorporated the rich and flavourful Wagyu which made the restaurant famous, and we loved the creative ways the Wagyu was used throughout the menu. The dinner included many Asian inspired favourites such as juicy Wagyu gyoza, a delicate Wagyu tartare hand roll generously adorned with caviar, and melt in your mouth thinly sliced Wagyu with garlic.
Other favourites included the indulgent Wagyu Sando showered in gold flakes, the insanely flavourful wagyu steak, and the grand Wagyu chirashi usingĀ a tantalising mix of Wagyu, uni, and large flakes of gold. Their smoky old fashioned in a must try with your meal and ask the expert staff to pair your courses with sake form the impressive selection.
The minimal dining room, modern menu, and friendly and engaging team made the evening an exciting experience to remember and is a must for foodies looking for one of the city’s most elusive and decadent dining spots. We can’t wait for our next visit.
