Crème Brûlée
Set in Brighton’s iconic Lanes, The Ivy is an ideal spot for a celebratory date night or delicious meal with friends. We loved the grand entrance and sprawling venue featuring a plethora of colours, artwork, and vintage style decor. The friendly hostess guided us to our corner booth and we perused a mouthwatering menu and creative cocktail list.
Our meal started with fragrant scallops perfectly paired with flavourful pea puree and grated truffle, and creamy and indulgent Oak Smoked Duck Liver Parfait with Caramelised hazelnuts and toasted brioche. Portions were generous and suitable for sharing.
For our main courses we treated ourselves to the handcrafted Hand-Cut Sirloin Steak Tartare and the decadent Lobster Linguine. Both dishes were plated and served table side adding flair and show to our dining experience. The use of fresh ingredients and intricate flavours were evident in each dish and we couldn’t resist pairing our dinner with wine from the well curated selection.
The dessert menu is a huge highlight including one of the best creme brûlées we’ve had in a long time. We loved all the details of the restaurant including an inviting bar area, tables overlooking the buzzing streets of Brighton and even boudoir style restrooms. A must dine spot when visiting Brighton and Hove. We can’t wait to try the Ivy Asia on our next visit.
