We were very excited to sample one of our favourite steak houses while visiting Edinburgh and Hawksmoor impressed as always. Located in a Grade A listed building, the grand property has been beautifully restored and exudes a sense of warmth and sophistication.
Our family loved the cozy booths and high ceilings alongside friendly service and lively surroundings. We started our dinner with the delectable Roasted Scallops in Garlic Butter, the tender and fresh Native Lobster, and the addictive Old Spot Belly Ribs with Vinegar Slaw.
For the main course we couldn’t resist one of the sharing cuts of beef and delved into a tender, juicy and perfectly prepared Chateaubriand. If you are looking for seafood we highly recommend their irresistible Monkfish which is grilled over charcoal. The dishes are ideal for sharing family style which suited us and our children but Hawksmoor also feature a child friendly kids menu sure to please little ones.
We always make sure to save room for dessert when dining at Hawksmoor as they serve one of the best sticky toffee puddings we’ve tasted. Make sure to pair your meal with their delicious Malbec and treat yourself to one of their intricately crafted cocktails, the Fuller Fat Old Fashioned being our favourite. A must dine spot in Edinburgh for both mouthwatering food and unbeatable ambiance.
