Lounge at the Seaplane Terminal

Le Meridien Maldives, located on a picturesque natural island, is the ideal tropical family getaway. Our journey started in their sleek and comfortable lounge at the airport’s seaplane terminal where we waited for our island transfer. The accommodating staff guided us through our entire journey and ensured we arrived on the island promptly ready to start our memorable stay.

Our family of four stayed in a stunning Overwater Villa boasting a large master bedroom with space for extra beds, decadent bathroom with ocean views, and private swimming pool just steps from the turquoise ocean. Our days were spent snorkelling in the vibrant house reef, relaxing on the white sand beach, and partaking in fun activities including sushi making, cinema under the stars, and kayaking around the idyllic island.

We highly recommend a visit to their tranquil overwater spa where restorative treatments are available for children and adults. Our children enjoyed many hours at the engaging Kids Club and we had an unforgettable experience as a family during a sunset dolphin cruise.

Dining experiences were one of our favourite aspects of the resort with international options in a variety of settings. We enjoyed Indian fare and casual dining at Turquoise, delicious grill options at Velaa Bar + Grill, and a slice of the Mediterranean at Riviera Tapas. Tabemasu is a beautiful overwater dining destination perfect for sushi making sessions or sampling Japanese fare, and we loved having Waves as a relaxed cafe option throughout the day.
