When I think of Italian food, comfort food often comes to mind and this is definitely true when it comes to Bene Pizza + Pasta.  As soon as you enter the spacious and light venue, you are greeted by cases of bright red cherry tomatoes imported straight from Italy.  Their menu is full of classic dishes as well as handmade pastas and a variety of authentic thin crust pizzas.  I highly recommend the tagliatelle with traditional beef ragout sauce, which brought back memories of one of my favourite homemade recipes, and their pizza dough roll filled with spinach, ricotta cheese and roasted ham was unique, rich and packed with flavour.  The prosciutto ham pizza was deliciously crispy and very generous with fresh toppings. We finished the meal with the hazelnut lipstick dessert, which if you are a Nutella or hazelnut fan is a must try.  A great spot for lunch with friends and Italian family style dining.
