One of the must eats when visiting Korea is of course Korean BBQ. This is one of my favourite meals when in Hong Kong, so I was very eager to sample the real stuff in it’s hometown. Myeong-Dong is littered with BBQ venues, so it’s hard to choose but we walked down a narrow alley to find a cozy restaurant with what what ended up being one of the most delicious meals while in Seoul. Korean BBQ in Seoul is all about beef. There isn’t much more on the menu, so I recommend getting two types and a spicy seafood hotpot for non meat eaters. The complimentary side dishes and soju is what makes the meal. Make sure to try wrapping the meat in lettuce and using the customary sauce and kimchi. I also highly recommend the grilled pork belly for those who aren’t into eating a beef dominated meal. It’s one of those meals where you can stay for hours, so grill slowly and enjoy the drinks and company.
