Tucked away in the lush coastal haven of Trancoso, Etnia Casa Hotel offers the perfect blend of barefoot luxury and laid-back family comfort. Our stay in one of their spacious two-bedroom houses was everything we dreamed of and more. With an alluring terrace and generous outdoor space, it felt like our own private oasis within the jungle. The kids had room to roam, while we enjoyed peaceful afternoons on the terrace, surrounded by birdsong and swaying palms.

Inside, the house had a fully equipped kitchen, which was a dream for family travel, allowing us to prepare snacks, light meals, and enjoy cozy evenings in after long beach days. The interiors are thoughtfully styled, with Brazilian charm and just the right touch of luxury.

The main swimming pool is absolutely stunning, serene, beautifully landscaped, and perfect for a refreshing dip at any hour. It felt wonderfully tranquil and the poolside loungers were ideal for relaxed afternoons.

Each morning, we looked forward to the delicious daily breakfast featuring fresh tropical fruit, baked goods, and Brazilian specialties, served with warmth and care. Speaking of warmth, the staff at Etnia Casa Hotel were exceptional, always friendly, genuinely attentive, and full of local tips, from hidden beaches to the best moqueca in town.

Best of all, the hotel is perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the iconic Quadrado, Trancoso’s historic town square, with its colourful buildings and vibrant atmosphere. The beach is also a short walk away, making it easy to balance town exploration with time on the sand.

Whether you’re traveling with little ones or teens, Etnia Casa Hotel makes family luxury feel effortless. It’s a truly magical stay in one of Brazil’s most enchanting destinations.
