Arriving just before sunset is essential, when the Bangkok skyline softens into golden hues and the terrace becomes one of the most atmospheric spots in the city. As the evening unfolds, the space shifts from relaxed dinner setting to a lively, music-filled destination.
The menu leans Mediterranean with a refined, shareable approach, complemented by an impressive cocktail program and a well-curated wine list. We started with the Hamachi ceviche, bright and clean, followed by a beautifully balanced wagyu beef tartare. The A.O.P seafood linguine was generous and deeply flavourful, while the wild sea bass with crisp skin delivered both texture and elegance. The tagliata di manzo was another standout, perfectly cooked and simply dressed to let the quality of the beef shine.
What elevates Pastel beyond just another rooftop is its sense of occasion. The design is playful yet polished, with soft pastel tones, plush seating, and an open-air terrace that frames panoramic city views. The atmosphere is convivial and festive, with DJs and late-night energy, yet it still manages to feel refined earlier in the evening.
Drinks are a highlight in their own right. The cocktail menu is creative and beautifully presented, making it easy to linger over sunset into night, while the wine selection caters well to the Mediterranean-inspired menu.
We ended with the chocolate lava cake, rich and indulgent, the perfect finale to an evening that balances great food, vibrant ambiance, and one of Bangkok’s most memorable rooftop settings.
