Dining at Riva del Fiume feels like a little escape to Italy right on the Chao Phraya River. The space is bright and elegant, with a soft, contemporary design inspired by Lake Como, floor-to-ceiling windows and multiple terraces that open out to the water. There’s a relaxed energy to the restaurant with an open kitchen adding a lively touch as chefs prepare handmade pasta and wood-fired pizzas throughout the service.
Service is exactly what you would expect from Four Seasons, warm, intuitive and incredibly polished without ever feeling stiff. The team guides the experience seamlessly, from wine recommendations to pacing each course, making the whole evening feel effortless. The wine list is equally impressive, with a strong focus on Italian labels that pair beautifully with the menu.
We started with the tonno tonnato, a refined and beautifully balanced take on the classic, before moving on to the ravioli del plin at cinghiale, rich and deeply comforting. The crispy scale alfonsino was a standout, perfectly cooked with delicate texture, while the anatra alla vaniglia, a dry aged Barbary duck, was exceptional and full of flavour.
For families, it works just as well. The kids loved the pizzas, made in the wood-fired oven, and the torta nocciola for dessert was a clear favourite at the table.
Overall, Riva del Fiume delivers the perfect combination of relaxed Italian charm and elevated dining, with beautiful interiors, exceptional service and a menu that feels both indulgent and thoughtfully executed.
