We always look forward to seafood buffets when visiting Thailand, and the beachfront seafood evening at Amari Koh Samui was one to remember. Set directly on the resort’s stunning white sand beach, the evening combined a beautifully sophisticated atmosphere with a relaxed island feel, creating the perfect setting for a memorable family dinner by the sea.
As the sun set over the water, guests gathered beneath softly glowing lights and ocean breezes to enjoy an impressive buffet filled with both Thai flavours and international favourites. Freshly grilled prawns, squid, and steak were cooked to order, while local sea bass wrapped in banana leaves, creamy Thai curries, and fragrant rice dishes showcased some of the best flavours of Thailand. There was also a vibrant salad station packed with fresh tropical ingredients and plenty of options for families to sample throughout the evening.
Our kids especially loved the live pasta station, where they could customise their favourite dishes and watch everything being freshly prepared in front of them. The atmosphere throughout the evening felt lively yet relaxed, with the sound of the waves in the background and plenty of space for families to settle in and enjoy the experience together.
One of the highlights of the night was the live fire dance show performed on the beach while we made our way through dessert, adding an extra sense of occasion to the evening. Between the stunning beachfront setting, generous seafood spread, and family friendly atmosphere, it was the perfect island dining experience and one we would happily return to on our next visit to Koh Samui.
