For relaxed family dining with a distinctly elevated edge we highly recommend The Kitchen Table at W Koh Samui. Set beside sweeping ocean views with W’s signature modern design aesthetic, the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between stylish resort dining and a laid back atmosphere that works beautifully for families. Plush seating, tropical interiors, and the open kitchen create a vibrant energy throughout the day and into the evening.

We found ourselves returning multiple times during our stay, especially for long family lunches overlooking the water and relaxed dinners after sunset. The menu blends authentic Thai flavours with international favourites, offering something for everyone without sacrificing quality or creativity.

Some standout dishes included the Gaeng Puu Bai Cha-Plu, a beautifully fragrant southern Thai curry rich with delicate crab meat and betel leaves, alongside the deeply comforting Khao Soi Neua featuring tender beef in a silky coconut curry broth. The Massaman Lamb Shank was another highlight, slow cooked until perfectly tender with warming spices and incredible depth of flavour. For classic Thai comfort food, the Pad Thai Goong was beautifully balanced with fresh prawns and just the right amount of smokiness from the wok.

For something more indulgent, the KIDMAN grain fed beef tenderloin was expertly cooked and incredibly flavourful, pairing perfectly with a glass of wine while the children happily worked through the extensive menu. Desserts were equally memorable, especially the mango sticky rice, served with perfectly ripe mango and creamy coconut sauce.

Whether visiting for a casual family lunch or a stylish dinner by the sea, The Kitchen Table combines polished service, vibrant flavours, and the effortlessly cool atmosphere W Koh Samui does so well.
