Hidden among the lush hills of Jimbaran, Raffles Bali is one of the island’s most exclusive luxury retreats. With just 32 private pool villas cascading towards the ocean, the resort feels wonderfully secluded while still being just a short drive from the airport. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed to create a true sense of tranquillity, from the beautifully landscaped tropical gardens to the sweeping views across Jimbaran Bay.
During our stay, we checked into the spectacular Ocean Front Two Bedroom Pool Villa, without question one of the most luxurious villas we have experienced in Bali. The expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, breathtaking infinity pool and uninterrupted ocean views created a private sanctuary that was difficult to leave. Thoughtful details throughout the villa were complemented by the impeccable 24 hour Raffles Butler service, with every request handled effortlessly and always with genuine warmth.
The resort itself is equally impressive. We loved spending quiet afternoons beside the elegant main infinity pool before wandering down to the resort’s peaceful stretch of beach, where the calm atmosphere felt worlds away from the busier parts of Jimbaran. The Raffles Spa provided another memorable highlight, offering deeply restorative treatments in an exceptionally tranquil setting, while the fitness centre and tennis courts made it easy to stay active throughout our stay.
Dining is another standout at Raffles Bali. Each morning began with exceptional à la carte breakfasts at Rumari overlooking the bay, while Loloan became our favourite spot for relaxed poolside lunches, family dinners and even a fun pizza making class for the children. One evening we experienced an unforgettable collaborative tasting menu at Rumari, where Chef Gaetan Biesuz partnered with Michelin starred Chef Gerard Villaret Horcajo of Elements, Inspired by Ciel Bleu, for an extraordinary fine dining experience. As the sun set over Jimbaran Bay, cocktails at the intimate Writers Bar provided the perfect way to end each day.
