Whenever we find ourselves back in Seminyak, there is one place that inevitably ends up on our itinerary. Mrs Sippy has become a family tradition and one of our favourite spots for an easygoing day of sunshine, swimming and great food. Home to one of Bali’s largest lagoon style saltwater pools, this lively pool club perfectly balances a relaxed daytime atmosphere with plenty of entertainment for both adults and children.
Our children can happily spend hours here. The famous multi level diving platforms are always the highlight, with endless jumps into the crystal clear pool, while we settle into a comfortable daybed and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. The swim up bar adds to the fun, allowing you to cool off with a drink without ever leaving the water, while younger visitors also have a dedicated kids’ play area, making it one of the most family friendly pool clubs in Bali.
The food is exactly what you want from a poolside lunch. Fresh, satisfying and easy to share after a morning in the water. We ordered the chicken satay, juicy cheeseburgers and Baja fish tacos, all of which arrived quickly and were perfect for a relaxed afternoon by the pool. Families will also appreciate the dedicated children’s menu, making it easy to keep everyone happy between swims. While the menu features Mediterranean inspired dishes alongside wood fired favourites, there is something for every appetite, whether you are after a light bite or a more substantial meal.
Whether you are visiting with friends, as a couple or with children, Mrs Sippy is one of those places that effortlessly captures Bali’s carefree spirit. We return every trip because it offers exactly what we look for in a family day out. Great food, a fun atmosphere, plenty for the children to enjoy and a pool that is simply impossible to resist.
