If you are
looking for a luxurious Sunday lunch in rustic European settings, and a
gourmet buffet and menu, Hugos is the best choice in town. The service
mimics the impeccable style of their dinner service and you never have
to worry about annoying queues at the buffet. The appetiser buffet serves
many of their a la carte specialities including my favourite beef
tartare and caesar salad. The fresh seafood platter is reminiscent of
those in France and the soup is freshly made and brought to your table.
For your main course you can choose from a delicious menu including
dishes such as their popular lobster thermidor and chicken kiev, but I
highly recommend the roast beef served table side from an authentic
trolley. I don’t think I could attend this lunch without feasting on
this perfectly cooked, juicy roast served alongside a fluffy Yorkshire
pudding and plenty of gravy. A must try! Don’t forget to leave room for
the dessert where a buffet of fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, and
homemade ice cream is on offer. They even have the famous chocolate
soufflé made to order. All of this and your choice of free flow Laurent
Perrier Champagne or red and white wine. One of my favourite brunches I
have experienced and may soon become a weekly habit.
