Gili Lankanfushi, located a short boat ride away from Male, boasts turquoise waters, stylish villas perfect for couples and families, and some of the friendliest staff in the Maldives. We were in awe of the stunning views, rustic design, and laid back yet luxurious vibe. All the villas are over water at Gili Lankanfushi and are full of beautiful, Instagram worthy details. We loved the comfortable nets on the deck, easy steps into pristine waters, soothing outdoor shower, and bohemian luxe bedroom with wraparound windows allowing you to enjoy the beauty and sea life surrounding your villa. The resort provides free bikes and tricycles so you can make our way easily around the island. We couldn’t get enough of all the mouthwatering dining options during our stay. Their themed nights, including Indian and Mediterranean were both authentic and delicious and we highly recommend By the Sea if you love Japanese fare. Try the Gili Tasting Journey upon arrival and get to know their friendly and knowledgeable sommelier who will introduce you to all the F&B options around the island. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or just looking for an innovative meal, make sure to try Chef Hari’s Vegan Tasting Menu set in Gili Lankanfushi’s inviting organic garden. Each villa has a Mr.Friday who is there to assist you with all your questions and needs. Our Mr. Friday, Visam, was not only great with ensuring all our meals and activities were booked, but also won the hearts of our children. This welcoming resort truly makes you feel like family, and is one of the most beautiful in the Maldives.
