One of the highlights at Gili Lankanfushi is their vast and lush organic garden. They grow everything from herbs and greens to fruit here and Chef Hari has created a number of mouthwatering vegan dishes to show off the produce. We aren’t vegans here at Hungry HK and were amazed by the extremely delicious menu we tasted. We starting with a delectably creamy Aloe Vera Ceviche, a vibrant Citrus Fruit and Flowers Salad and a refreshing Avocado, Cucumber & Garden Leaves Gazpacho. Seafood lovers will be wowed by the Vegan “Scallop” dish using radish, grains and mushrooms and we loved the Vegan “Steak” dish substituting beef for eggplant paired with the chimichurri sauce. Most of the dishes were prepared table-side by Chef Hari and his variety of raw vegan desserts was a true highlight. We couldn’t believe the amount of flavour, texture, and decadence added without use of any dairy or sugar. A must try dining experience when you are visiting Gili Lankanfushi.
