Casa Republica, located in the bohemian and cultural Barranco district, is an ideal boutique hotel for a family getaway to Lima. We loved the beautifully restored 1920’s mansion boasting stunning artwork, refined decor and a tranquil garden. The inviting staff were friendly and helpful greeting us with plenty of tips about the local area, museum suggestions, and recommendations for all the best restaurants and bars in the area. Families will love the spacious and cozy Garden Suite which was big enough for our family of four traveling with our young kids. The breakfast buffet each morning was decadently set and incorporated healthy and sweet options. The made to order eggs and freshly brewed coffee were huge highlights and we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor courtyard soaking up the ambient surroundings.
Barranco is a fantastic foodie destination with numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants that are sure to please the palette. Whether you’re looking for local cuisine, classic brunches, or a stylish scene you’ll find it in Barranco. We loved having dinner at Casa Republica’s mouthwatering in house restaurant and enjoying evenings at their romantic rooftop bar. We visited during the weekend so had the opportunity to explore the plethora of artisanal markets and local food stalls. We were just a few minutes walk from the famous Bridge of Sighs which is adjacent to steps leading to straight down to the Pacific Ocean. The area is easily traveled on foot or by bike and Casa Republica had free bike rentals for all guests.
If you’re in search of a safe and stylish property with impeccable service and elegant style we highly recommend Casa Republica. We truly loved the vibe of Barranco and had a beautiful stay at the unforgettable boutique property.
