Chalet Ivy, located in Hirafu, is the perfect spot for a cozy family getaway. We loved the optimal location just a few minutes walk to the Welcome Center and Niseko’s world famous ski slopes. The inviting boutique hotel boasts a variety of modern and comfortable guestrooms including luxurious suites with a view. Our family stayed in the Deluxe Onsen Suite Hirafu Mountain View which featured a large sumptuous master bedroom and onsen style bathtub, separate living area which could be closed off as a second bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and dining table, and a stunning balcony with mountain views.
Chalet Ivy also boasts serene indoor and outdoor onsens and private onsen rooms for family bathing. We also made full use of the state of the art fitness centre and complementary laundry room. Dining experiences are a must at Chalet Ivy with two dining venues serving some of the best food in Niseko. We loved the varied and healthy breakfast buffet and casual dinners at HirafuZaka which had plenty of Japanese and western options for the whole family. Snow Castle is a must dine spot for foodies visiting Hokkaido incorporating local seafood into one of the best omakase dinners we had in Japan.
The tranquil ambiance at the hotel ensured an enjoyable and restful stay and the staff were not only friendly and helpful but consistently went out of their way to ensure we had a stay to remember. A free shuttle service is available for guests to reach the slopes and Kutchan train station and the optimal location ensures you’re surrounded by the best shops, cafes, and eateries in town. An ideal choice for families and couples visiting Hokkaido any time of the year.
