Hoshino Resort’s TOMAMU is an unforgettable family ski resort perfect for all ages. The sprawling property boasts a plethora of accommodation options, family friendly activities, amazing facilities, and world class dining. We loved staying in the luxurious RiISONARE tower with large suites perfect for those travelling with kids. The spacious suites featured decadent jacuzzi baths and private saunas, two bedrooms and separate lounge alongside spectacular mountain views. Head downstairs and enjoy quiet time in the cozy library or kids playtime in the child friendly play area. Staff are efficient and friendly ensuring guests have everything they need throughout their stay and are always on hand to help with transport, revservistioans and directions.
The resort is easily navigated via shuttle bus, or covered tunnels so you never have to trek through the snow to the different areas. Each building is ski in and ski out making it easy for guests to enjoy the famous snowy slopes. Activities are endless from ski lessons and ski schools to ATV rides through the captivating scenery, a cloud walk and forest of frost tree at the top of the mountain, and access to Mina-Mina Beach, Japan’s largest indoor wave pool. In the evening guests can head to the spectacular ice village where you’ll find igloos filled with restaurants, convenience stores, and gift shops. Kids can roast marshmallows, ice skate, and enjoy the ice slide.
Dining is a huge highlight when staying at Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU with over 20 options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We loved having breakfast at a different location everyday including a traditional Japanese breakfast at SORA and the hearty western options at Grilled AGI. The dinner buffets are a must for foodies from incredible Hokkaido meats at Forest Restaurant Nininupuri to gourmet seafood at Buffet Dining hal. Make sure to try Hokkaido famous Jingisukan at Hokkaido Jingisukan KING and don’t miss Hotalu Street, the resort’s lively ski in ski out dining destination. We enjoyed warming up after a morning of skiing with soup curry at GARAKU and make sure to head to Kotatsu Lounge in the evening for their fragrant and decadent Shabu Shabu beside the snowy fireside. Cafes are also a must visit during your stay and Kumo Cafe, accessible via UNKAI Gondola, is a must for the incredible views and cloud themed desserts and drinks.
