Our Ocean Overwater Pool Villa was pure magic, with a private pool, sprawling sun deck, and a massive bathtub that quickly became a favourite post-swim spot for our kids. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and stepping directly into the turquoise lagoon was a daily delight. Each villa comes with a private butler and ours went above and beyond to make every moment of our stay seamless and special.

The resort truly shines when it comes to family activities. Our children were never bored with kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, and even water aerobics in the main pool keeping them energised. The overwater inflatable water park was huge hit, and we all loved cycling around the lush island paths on the resorts bikes. Evenings brought a mix of kids’ activities and nightly entertainment like fire shows that wowed the whole family.

Food is a standout at The Standard Maldives. We savoured everything from fresh seafood and authentic Maldivian dishes at Guduguda to vibrant themed buffets at Kula and smoky grilled delights at BBQ Shak. One of our most memorable moments was the Maldivian Cooking Class, an immersive, hands-on experience made even more special with our kids fully involved.

Don’t miss out on kayaking to Baby Island, the resort’s charming private island just offshore. This secluded spot is perfect for bespoke experiences, from romantic dinners under the stars to intimate family gatherings.
