Our recent stay at Fushifaru Maldives marked our third visit, and once again it felt like coming home. The team treated us like family, greeting us by name and welcoming us with genuine warmth that perfectly reflects Maldivian hospitality. Every return visit feels more special, as familiar faces greet us with smiles and new memories unfold against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the Maldives.
We stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom Beach Duplex Villa with a private pool just steps from one of the most stunning stretches of beach imaginable. The turquoise lagoon and powder-soft sand created the perfect setting for relaxed mornings and unforgettable sunsets. Every detail of the villa reflected thoughtful design, blending the Maldives-meets-barefoot-luxury style that Fushifaru does so well.
Our days were filled with both adventure and calm. We loved snorkeling along the vibrant house reef, alive with colourful marine life, and exploring the resort’s underwater playground, complete with a swing set you can free dive to. Our family also enjoyed games of tennis, while the Kids Club offered endless fun and creativity for the children.
Dining at Fushifaru was a delight and the generous all-inclusive package made it even more enjoyable. Korakali, the main restaurant, offered fresh, high-quality buffets and changing live cooking stations. The live grill station with local seafood and reef fish was a favorite, along with Indian night and the plentiful breakfast buffets. At Teppanyaki, we experienced an entertaining show paired with a delicious set menu featuring fresh tuna steak, juicy corn-fed chicken, and fragrant fried rice. We spent many relaxing afternoons at Fanihandhi Pool Bar, enjoying vibrant salads, delicious pizzas, and creative cocktails by the infinity pool, while Thundi Beach Bar was our go-to for tropical smoothies and sunset drinks.
Evenings at Fushifaru were filled with simple pleasures, from movie nights under the stars to peaceful walks along the moonlit beach. The highlight of our stay was the private sandbank experience, an unforgettable moment that deserves a place on every traveler’s bucket list.
What sets Fushifaru apart is its people. The team’s warmth, charm, and attention to detail make every guest feel valued and cared for. Our farewell was especially touching, as the entire team gathered to wave goodbye from the jetty as our seaplane departed, leaving us with full hearts and lasting memories.
We already cannot wait to return and are especially excited for the grand opening of Fushifaru’s sister property, Meyyafushi, which promises unique Maldivian experiences at the heart of paradise. If it is anything like Fushifaru, it will be nothing short of exceptional.
