Staying at The Okura Tokyo felt like discovering a hidden gem in one of the world’s busiest cities. From the moment we stepped into the elegant lobby, the blend of refined Japanese aesthetics and modern luxury was immediately clear. Our Corner Room on the Club Floor in the Prestige Tower offered what may well be the best views we have ever experienced from a Tokyo hotel. Floor to ceiling windows framed the city beautifully, with Tokyo Tower glowing in the distance as day turned to night. Waking up to that view each morning felt incredibly special and the sense of space and calm made it feel like a true retreat above the city.

The Prestige Tower rooms are thoughtfully designed with luxurious bedding, generous bathrooms, premium amenities and meticulous housekeeping. Every detail felt considered and seamless. Concierge service was polished and genuinely helpful, making it easy to navigate the city and plan our days with confidence.

One of the true highlights of our stay was access to the Club Lounge. With sweeping views across Tokyo and a direct sightline to Tokyo Tower, it quickly became our favourite place to unwind in the hotel. The lounge offered an excellent selection throughout the day, from a relaxed breakfast to afternoon tea and beautifully presented evening cocktails. Service was impeccable, warm and intuitive, creating an atmosphere that felt exclusive yet completely comfortable.

Breakfast at The Okura Tokyo deserves special mention. Club Level guests can choose to dine in the Club Lounge, the main buffet restaurant or the Japanese restaurant, each offering a distinct experience. Every option showcased outstanding quality, with beautifully prepared dishes using the finest Japanese ingredients. Whether enjoying a traditional Japanese breakfast or a generous Western spread, the attention to detail was evident.

The hotel also excels when it comes to wellness and relaxation. The Okura Fitness and Spa features a large indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped gym with city views, sauna and steam facilities and a comprehensive spa menu. These amenities make the hotel equally appealing for couples seeking relaxation and families looking for comfort and convenience during their stay.

The location is another major advantage. Situated in Toranomon, the hotel offers easy access to transport links that connect effortlessly to Roppongi, Ginza and beyond, making it simple to explore all corners of Tokyo while returning to a calm and refined base.

Dining within the hotel is exceptional. Yamazato delivers a deeply traditional Japanese experience with a refined omakase that celebrates seasonality and precision. Nouvelle Epoque offers elegant French cuisine using local Japanese ingredients, paired with impeccable wines and attentive service. Both restaurants are destinations in their own right.

From the breathtaking views and luxurious Club Lounge to world class dining and thoughtful facilities, The Okura Tokyo delivers an experience that feels timeless, polished and uniquely Japanese.
