Perched on a lush hillside overlooking the sparkling Gulf of Thailand, Six Senses Samui perfectly captures the barefoot luxury and wellness-focused atmosphere that has made the brand so iconic. Blending rustic natural materials with refined design, the resort feels wonderfully connected to its tropical surroundings while still delivering the elevated comforts of a true luxury escape. Wooden walkways wind through tropical greenery, opening onto panoramic ocean views at every turn, while the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to immediately slow down and unwind.
We stayed in the Ocean Front Pool Villa Suite, which worked perfectly for our family. The spacious layout featured a luxurious master bedroom connected to a separate area with two twin beds, which could be divided from the main bedroom using a large sliding door to create additional privacy when needed. The villa also included two beautifully designed bathrooms and an expansive outdoor terrace complete with a stunning private pool overlooking the ocean. Waking up to uninterrupted sea views each morning and watching the sunsets from our villa quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay.
One of the highlights for our children was visiting the resort’s charming Farm on the Hill, where they could feed the animals and collect fresh eggs each morning to bring to breakfast. It was such a thoughtful experience that reflected the resort’s strong focus on sustainability and connection to nature.
The resort itself offers plenty to enjoy for both adults and children alike. We spent hours moving between the two stunning swimming pools, both offering breathtaking sea views and a peaceful atmosphere. The beach activities added another layer of fun to our stay, while the modern gym and world-class spa made it easy to balance relaxation with wellness and fitness.
Dining throughout the resort was consistently exceptional. Drift at the Beach became our daily lunch spot thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, fresh cuisine, and incredible pool and ocean views. Dining on the Hill impressed us with elevated Thai cuisine alongside vibrant healthy and vegan dishes, while Dining on the Rocks delivered an unforgettable sunset dining experience with beautifully executed tasting menus and impeccable personalized service.
What truly sets Six Senses Samui apart is how effortlessly it combines luxury with authenticity. The resort never feels overly formal or staged. Instead, it creates an atmosphere that feels deeply connected to the natural beauty of Koh Samui while still offering every comfort expected from a luxury resort. Combined with genuinely warm service throughout our stay, Six Senses Samui delivered the perfect balance of family-friendly luxury, wellness, sustainability, and unforgettable dining experiences.
