Family owned and perched above the breathtaking Petanu River Valley, the resort is renowned for its spectacular jungle setting, warm Balinese hospitality and collection of private pool villas, making it one of the island’s most exclusive escapes.
Our stay in The Viceroy Villa was nothing short of exceptional. This expansive two bedroom residence offered everything we could have wished for as a family. Floor to ceiling windows framed uninterrupted views across the lush river valley, while the enormous private swimming pool was a tranquil sanctuary for our family. It’s our second time staying at the decadent villa and after the recent refurbishment it’s more luxurious than ever. Evenings were spent soaking in the jacuzzi or gathering around the outdoor fire pit as the sounds of the rainforest created an atmosphere that felt both peaceful and incredibly luxurious. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, while our butler ensured every request was handled with genuine warmth and impeccable attention throughout our stay.
Beyond the villa, the facilities are equally impressive. We loved relaxing beside the resort’s elegant main infinity pool overlooking the valley, while the fully equipped fitness centre and squash court made it easy to stay active. The award winning Akoya Spa provided one of the highlights of our stay, offering beautifully designed treatment rooms and a tranquil setting that perfectly complements the surrounding nature.
Dining was another standout experience. Each morning began with an outstanding à la carte breakfast at Cascades, where beautifully presented dishes were served alongside panoramic jungle views. One evening we enjoyed an unforgettable degustation dinner at Apéritif, the resort’s acclaimed fine dining restaurant, where creative tasting menus paired European techniques with Indonesian flavours in an elegant Art Deco setting.
Combining extraordinary accommodation, outstanding dining, exceptional wellness facilities and heartfelt service, Viceroy Bali delivers an experience that feels both intimate and indulgent.
