Set on a quiet residential street in Belgravia, The Hari manages to feel both distinctly London and refreshingly intimate. Positioned between Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge, the five-star boutique hotel is within easy walking distance of Harrods, Hyde Park and Sloane Square, making it an incredibly convenient base for exploring this side of the city.
The hotel has just 85 rooms, including 14 suites, giving it a much more personal atmosphere than many of London’s larger luxury properties. Interiors are stylish and characterful, mixing contemporary art with rich velvet upholstery, bespoke furnishings and beautiful marble. There is a residential quality throughout, with cosy communal spaces and an impressive collection of artwork adding plenty of personality.
We stayed in a suite with a connecting room, a setup we particularly loved as a family of four. The Hari offers interconnecting rooms and suites designed for families, giving everyone plenty of space while still keeping us together. Our suite provided a separate living area where we could relax between outings, while thoughtful touches, luxurious linens and beautifully finished bathrooms elevated the stay.
Service was another highlight. The team were consistently warm, attentive and genuinely personable, creating the kind of relaxed luxury that can sometimes be difficult to find in central London. Nothing felt overly formal, yet everything was handled seamlessly throughout our stay.
Dining is also an integral part of the experience. Downstairs, il Pampero serves Italian cuisine in a stylish, lively setting. We particularly loved the tableside Pici Cacio e Pepe prepared in a Pecorino wheel, followed by their equally theatrical Tiramisu.
For us, The Hari struck an ideal balance between Belgravia sophistication and family-friendly comfort. With its art-filled interiors, excellent service and prime location between some of our favourite London neighbourhoods, it is exactly the kind of boutique hotel that makes a city stay feel special.
