The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah is a stunning paradise offering all you need and more for a family getaway. We couldn’t believe the crystal clear turquoise waters and stunning marine life that surrounded the entire island. Our overwater villa was the perfect idyllic sanctuary featuring a large private pool with expansive views, grand master bedroom, and decadent bathroom. The five star island offers plenty to do for the whole family from a picturesque main swimming pool and bar to fun water sports on the white sand beach, a full service spa, and well equipped Kids Club. We loved grabbing our bikes to explore every corner and the best part is that the resort is connected by a 1km bridge to their sister resort The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi so you have full access to both resorts during your stay.
If you’re on the amazing all inclusive package, you are able to dine at all the restaurants and drink at the bars at both resorts to make the most of the variety of pools, beaches, and scenery. We loved having the freedom to move around by bike or buggy and stopping at the unforgettable sandbank halfway across the bridge to experience one of the most stunning stretches of sand, water, and reef around.
Dining options are a true highlight at The Residence, where the produce and ingredients are always the highest quality. For the ultimate fine dining experience head to The Falhumaa, or delve into authentic Chinese cuisine at Li Bai. Cafe del Sol was our favourite poolside lunchtime spot and we couldn’t resist all the amazing stations and decadent seafood spread at The Dining Room each evening.
We highly recommend The Residence Maldives to families and couple looking for a slice of paradise. The service was always impeccable, food reliably delicious, and the marine life was some of the most impressive we’ve seen. From baby sharks and stingrays swimming by your villa to spotting turtles under the moonlight while heading to dinner, or even dozens of dolphins swimming beside your boat at sunset, you won’t be disappointed throughout your stay. A perfect choice if you want a bigger island and lots of variety throughout your holiday.
