Valentina Restaurant, located in the romantic and luxurious Hacienda Santa Cruz, is a perfect all day dining destination for those looking to sample regional fare while visiting Merida. We loved the open outdoor dining area overlooking the property’s sprawling gardens and stunning architecture.
Breakfasts are made to order and incorporate a variety of Yucatan specialities alongside freshly brewed coffee and an ambient live band. During dinner service the restaurant transforms into an intimate and tranquil space perfect for date night or an enjoyable family dinner. We loved sampling the signature local dishes including the delicious Sikil Pak, the refreshing and flavourful Aguachile with Shimps, the delicate and fragrant Fish made Veracuzana Style, and the melt in your mouth Pork Ribs Marinated with Guayaba. Portions were generous and great for sharing and we loved pairing our meal with a bottle from their varied wine list.
Service was always friendly and accommodating and staff were always helpful with recommendations from the irresistible dining options. A must dine spot for a taste of Yucatan and Mayan cuisine in one of Merida’s historic and captivating haciendas.
