Set along the peaceful northern coastline of Koh Samui, W Koh Samui delivers a bold and stylish take on tropical luxury while still feeling wonderfully relaxed and family friendly. Surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand, the resort blends contemporary design with the laid back island atmosphere Koh Samui is loved for. From the moment we arrived, the vibrant energy, exceptional service, and breathtaking scenery made it clear this would be a memorable stay.

We stayed in one of the resort’s Beachfront Pool Villas, which offered direct access to the sand alongside complete privacy and uninterrupted sea views. The villa itself felt incredibly spacious and luxurious, with sleek interiors, a decadent oversized bathroom, expansive outdoor living space, and a private pool just steps from the beach. W Koh Samui balances modern luxury with comfort beautifully, making it ideal for both couples and families travelling together.

One of our favourite parts of each day was spending time on the beautiful beach, whether swimming in the calm water, relaxing beneath the palms, or watching the spectacular sunsets each evening. The resort’s stunning main infinity pool also became a daily highlight, with sweeping ocean views creating one of the most picturesque settings on the island. We also appreciated the excellent wellness facilities, including the fully equipped gym and tennis court which allowed us to maintain our routines while travelling.

Dining across the resort was consistently impressive. Breakfast at The Kitchen Table was a standout each morning, featuring decadent live cooking stations, fresh tropical fruits, made to order à la carte dishes, and coconuts prepared fresh on demand. Afternoons at WOOBAR were equally memorable, where we enjoyed elegant afternoon tea overlooking the ocean before returning in the evenings for cocktails, lively atmosphere, sunset views, and entertaining fire show performances.

Dinner experiences were another highlight of the stay. The Kitchen Table offered elevated Thai and international comfort dishes in a relaxed beachfront setting perfect for family lunches and dinners, while Namu delivered refined Japanese cuisine with premium ingredients and beautifully presented dishes in a sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere.

Stylish yet welcoming, lively yet peaceful, W Koh Samui offers a luxury island escape that feels effortlessly cool while still delivering the warmth and comfort families look for in a tropical getaway.
