Our recent family stay at Grand Hyatt Tokyo reminded us why this hotel remains one of the most reliable luxury addresses in the city, especially when travelling with children. Located in the heart of Roppongi Hills, the hotel offers direct access to shops, restaurants and museums, while still feeling calm and self contained once you step inside.

We stayed in two spacious rooms, ideal for a family of four. One room offered incredible views of Mount Fuji, a rare and unforgettable sight, while the other looked onto Tokyo Tower, glowing beautifully at night. The rooms were generously sized, thoughtfully laid out and comfortable, making it easy for everyone to settle in after long days exploring the city.

The hotel’s facilities are extensive and well maintained. There is a large fitness centre, swimming pool and spa, along with plenty of quiet corners to relax. Everything is designed to feel smooth and effortless, from check in to housekeeping, with consistently warm and efficient service throughout our stay.

Dining is a major highlight. Keyakizaka delivers an elevated teppanyaki experience with exceptional seafood, signature Tokyo Akigawa beef and skilled chefs who make the meal feel personal and engaging. The Oak Door offers a more relaxed steakhouse vibe, serving excellent seafood and premium cuts of beef in a setting that is genuinely family friendly, complete with a kids menu.

Another standout feature was the Grand Club Lounge, easily one of the best we have experienced in Tokyo. Spacious and calm, it offered a generous selection of food throughout the day, excellent drinks in the evening and attentive service that never felt rushed or crowded.

With its prime location, thoughtful facilities and genuine family appeal, Grand Hyatt Tokyo is a hotel we always look forward to returning to.
